Longarm Quilting

I do my quilting on a Nolting 24 Pro on a 12 foot table. My work is all hand guided, not computerized. I have a growing library of quilting designs and frequently create semi custom designs to suit customer quilt tops. My Nolting has a stitch regulator to help keep stitch length consistent.

Quilting charges are based on the total square inches of the quilt top as well as the density and complexity of the quilting style. The use of the quilt and your budget will help determine the level of quilting you decide upon. I provide free design consultation so there is no need to worry if you do not know how you want your top quilted. When you bring your quilt to me we will have a discussion and you will leave knowing how much I will charge and what designs I will quilt.

Basic Quilting ImageAll over edge to edge basic quilting

2 – 2.5¢ per square inch

Edge-to-edge quilting which covers the whole quilt with one pattern. This might include meandering such as large stippling, ribbons (double lines), loops, barbed wire, leaves, florals, holly, or simple pantographs (repeated patterns that go edge-to-edge).

Freehand ExampleSemi Custom quilting with one to two borders

2.6¢ – 3.4¢ per square inch

More elaborate overall quilting chosen to complement the piecing with one or two borders. Quilting design and scale will vary from section to section of the quilt depending on the piecing.

Stitch-In-The-Ditch ExampleStich-in-the-ditch plus custom quilting

3.5¢ – 4.4¢ per square inch

Stitch-in-the-ditch is used to outline pieced blocks and stabilize, and then each section is quilted with individual designs such as feathers, cross hatching, medallions, individual block designs, etc. Stitch-in-the-ditch requires precise control and slow speed.

  1. I would like to have a baby quilt top machine quilted, It’s 36″ x 46″.
Edge to edge, meandering is fine. It will be used daily and washed often.
I have the backing and batting, but would like it to be squared up.
Can you give me a quote and time frame when this could be done?
    Thank you.
